“The 2020 Effect“, What just happened?
2020 is proving to be a year of drastic upheaval, with major cultural consequences. CAF President, Richard Roche, will lead a Fireside chat with ViacomCBS Velocity’s CMO, Dario Spina to summarize The 2020 Effect. As COVID-19 disrupted every facet of our lives, ViacomCBS Velocity launched The Corona Effect, a weekly deep dive into how the coronavirus pandemic was affecting American culture. And as the year went on, the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement has redirected our attention to the flaws within our institutions. They turned the series into The 2020 Effect, a monthly series of mini-studies to amplify our cultural research, with a focus on the biggest shifts affecting consumers and marketers. The two-part series provides an overview of the cultural shifts they have observed since March 2020, with an eye to what these changes mean for creatives and strategists in the advertising industry.
